Westfield embraces click and collect
A new service at Wetfield’s west London shopping centre will allows shoppers to try on online purchases before they take them home.
A new click-and-collect service that allows shoppers to try on online purchases before they take them home is to be launched at Westfield’s west London shopping centre.
Westfield has created a click-and-collect point at its Westfield London centre that will allow shoppers to pick-up orders from more than 260 retailers, including Topshop, House of Fraser and River Island, as well as online retailers Amazon, Asos and Very.
Click-and-collect sales are soaring in the UK. Some of the winners from the vital Christmas period – such as Next – benefited from efficient click-and-collect services that offered free next-day delivery to stores.
Westfield, which has partnered with Collect+ to launch the service, claims it will offer a “luxury” collection service with a lounge area, fitting room, and one hour free parking. The Australian company said the service, which is called Collect+ @Westfield and opens today , is the first time in the UK that a shopping centre has offered a collection point for online orders with a fitting room.
Myf Ryan, Westfield’s marketing director for UK and Europe, said: “With the growing popularity of click and collect, we saw an opportunity to respond to shoppers’ needs.”
